20+10= good year...

Around the first of the year, my best friend Rachel emailed me the best email I have ever recieved. It was filled with hope and changes and propositions. We have been accountability partners for awhile now, and we tried to take it seriously, and for a little bit it worked. Then life got in the way, we moved to different states and lived different situations.

Rachel's email was a reminder of alot of things, but it was also a challenge to change our lives for the better. We both have goals we would like to accomplish within the year. We both have things in our lives that we needed to change. We both have a dream life that we can accomplish, if we only try. I'd like to quote Rachel here

"I'm still a firm believer that if you know what you want there's no reason (when we're young and American) not to have the life we dream of. It just takes knowing it and doing what you have to do to get it."

I've decided to share some of my goals with you, because accountability is something we all can do. Here they are, in no particular order:

2010 (or the year my life changes for the better because I force it to)

1: Brush and floss better
2: Open up my bible, and actually read it.
4: Not buying anything unless I need it (ie: deorderant, toilet paper, needed stuff.) I have too much stuff that is so unessecary.
5: Put others before myself, in all things.
6: Save money, so I can go to Europe
7: Take chances.
9: Write letters to people I have addresses for.
10: Eat healthier.
11: Make Iron Sharpens Iron the strongest thing in mine and Rachel's relationship.
12: Don't burn any bridges.
13: Work some place I have never been to before.
14: Be more active, stop watching TV when I'm bored.
15: Find my passion...whatever it is.

That's all I can think of for the time being, I'll be adding to this list as time goes on. I've omitted some personal goals that I will only share with Rach. I think that talking about our struggles is the only way to work through them. Life is better together.

I'm excited about what this year will bring.
